TerraNova UAV

Terranova UAV was founded in 2017 with the mission to provide farmers with actionable insights to reduce input costs, emissions and increase yields through precision agriculture. Our team has since developed a service offering that integrates the best of drone technology, multispectral imagery, photogrammetry, and artificial intelligence to provide farmers with information in the form of detailed maps, closeup pictures, and support focused on the decisions that drive value in the field.

Our team uses drones to automatically collect images of fields using multispectral cameras, which enables us to conduct drone mapping with centimeter-level precision in the location of the plants. The acquired information is processed using the latest mapping software, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and agricultural knowledge to develop multiple plant algorithms, which turn into live maps that provide several insights about plants, including but not limited to:

  • Plant health monitoring

  • Biomass analysis

  • Plant counting

  • Seed emergence analysis

  • Weed detection

  • Pest detection

  • Disease detection

We combine this technology with high-resolution, low-altitude drone georeferenced imagery to detect details such as specific areas of concern and determine the need for additional studies or tissue sampling. This saves scouts time from walking the fields, provides a fast method to diagnose issues, and adds a layer of safety since there is no physical contact with the plants from walking the fields, which avoids the risk of carrying pathogens, contaminating other fields, and damaging crops

Our fully licensed and trained pilots can fly multiple fields, and we have the capability to provide agriculture analytics results in less than 48 hours for timely decision-making and accurate diagnoses. If you're looking for crop management solutions, our precision agriculture technology and field scouting services can help you optimize your farm's performance.
